Photo Shoot Guidelines

E-mail Print PDF
  1. If you’re a beginning model, I will be pleased to advise you on what sort of basic pictures you might want in your portfolio. However, if you plan ahead, you can consider specialty pictures for the sort of fields you want to specialize in.
  2. I do not have a makeup artist on call. Models are encouraged to bring one, even if it’s just a friend who can help you. If you’ve never done makeup for photography before, be aware that a somewhat heavier makeup than you might wear casually is often appropriate. If you’re hopeless with makeup, I can try to provide a makeup artist.
  1. Unless otherwise agreed upon, I do not provide wardrobe. Bring your own, as much as you reasonably expect to use. Changing areas may not be provided due to remote location setting, but all considerations will be taken into account to make changing as private as possible.
  2. I will have water with me on a location shoot. If you like a particular sort of refreshment, feel free to bring some along, or let me know and I will make reasonable provisions. For professional reasons alcohol will not be allowed during shoot.
  3. Before the shoot we will agree upon a mutual location close to the shooting site, should we decide to do a location shoot. If we decide to do a shoot at an indoor location we can either meet at the indoor location or meet at a mutual location to drive to that destination. If you are nervous I will be glad to walk you to and from the shooting site.
  4. You are welcome to bring music to play during the shoot to make more comfortable music also helps with the mood. I can also provide a wide variety of music on request.
  5. If you are considering nude or semi-nude work and don’t know how to describe what you want, you may find this list of definitions handy.
